Why This Route?
Forget the highway. This tour is designed for riders who believe the journey is the destination. The “Bohemian Asphalt Rhapsody” connects the most legendary motorcycle roads in the Czech Republic into one seamless loop.
From the infamous “Dubá” curves to the “Czech Nürburgring” at Červenohorské sedlo, this route tests your skills and rewards you with perfect tarmac. You will ride into a cave (literally), climb futuristic mountain peaks, and carve through the deep forests of the borderlands. Warning: This route causes addiction to Czech roads.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Prague — Liberec
The Green Hell & The Biker’s Cave
Escape the city traffic and head north. Your first challenge is Road No. 9 near Dubá. This is a local legend—a stretch of road through dense forest with rhythmically perfect corners and pristine asphalt. It’s the closest thing to a racetrack on public roads.
Prepare for a world-unique experience. This is a massive man-made cave system that serves as a biker club. The best part? You don’t park outside. You ride your motorcycle right into the cave, up to the bar. Order a non-alcoholic beer, take a photo in the underground gloom, and feel the vibe.
The Finish: End the day with a climb to Ještěd, a futuristic TV tower that looks like a spaceship landed on the mountain peak. The ride up is technical, and the view over Liberec is unmatched.
Overnight: Liberec (Pytloun Grand Hotel Imperial – secure garage included).
Stats: ~240 km | 4.5 hours riding.
Day 2: Liberec — Hradec Králové
Giants & Rocks
Today, we trace the Polish border along the “Road of 100 Turns” (Route 14). You will skirt the edge of the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains), the highest range in the country. The air gets cooler, and the scenery shifts to alpine meadows and timber cottages.
A stop at Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. Park the bike and take a short walk to see the massive sandstone towers rising vertically from the forest floor. It looks like a set from a fantasy movie.
Overnight: Hradec Králové (Historic Old Town).
Stats: ~260 km | 5 hours riding.
Day 3: Hradec Králové — Olomouc
The Czech Nürburgring
This is the main event. We head east towards the Jeseníky Mountains to conquer the Červenohorské sedlo (Red Mountain Pass).
The Holy Grail of Czech motorcycling. It features wide, perfectly banked hairpin turns with excellent visibility and brand-new tarmac. It’s safe, fast, and exhilarating. Many riders choose to do a “yo-yo” run here—riding up and down the pass twice just for the thrill of it.
After the adrenaline fades, cruise down to Olomouc, the hidden gem of Moravia. With its UNESCO column and vibrant student atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to unwind.
Overnight: Olomouc.
Stats: ~280 km | 5.5 hours riding.
Day 4: Olomouc — Jihlava
The Moravian Karst & Flow
Leave the mountains behind for the rolling hills of the Vysočina region. This is “flow country”—no tight hairpins, just long, sweeping curves that allow you to maintain a rhythmic pace.
Pass through the Moravian Karst (Moravský kras), a protected landscape full of caves and gorges. The route via Bystřice nad Pernštejnem is a favorite among local bikers for its smooth surface and lack of heavy traffic.
Overnight: Jihlava or Telč (UNESCO).
Stats: ~250 km | 4.5 hours riding.
Day 5: Jihlava — Prague
Canyons & The Ride Home
The final leg takes you back to the capital, but not via the highway. We follow the Sázava River, known as the “Golden River”. The road hugs the riverbank, offering tight twists and turns through a canyon-like valley.
The Finish: Arrive back at the Tripola base in Prague. Hand over the keys, high-five the team, and grab a cold Czech lager. You’ve just conquered the best asphalt loop in the country.
Stats: ~220 km | 4 hours riding.
