- Driver Requirements
At Tripola Motorrad, we strive to make the rental process as smooth and transparent as possible. However, safety is our top priority. Our motorcycles are premium machines designed for long-distance touring across Czechia, Austria, and Europe.
To ensure your journey goes smoothly, please review our standard driver requirements before booking.
Documents: What to Bring
Upon vehicle pick-up at our rental station, every rider must present the originals of the following documents:
Valid Passport (or ID card for EU citizens).
Valid Motorcycle Driver’s License with an open Category A (unrestricted motorcycles).
Credit Card in the main rider’s name (for the security deposit block).
Important: We do not accept temporary permits, scans, or digital copies on phones. Only physical originals are accepted.
Minimum Age
Because our fleet ranges from nimble adventure tourers to heavy cruisers with large-displacement engines, the minimum age requirement varies by model.
Where to check the age requirement? The specific minimum age (usually between 21 and 25 years) is listed on each individual motorcycle’s booking page under the “Technical Data” or “Rental Conditions” tab.
Please verify this specific parameter before confirming your booking.
Experience & Skills
Holding a Category “A” license is a legal requirement, but your actual experience is what matters most to us. You will be handling heavy machinery (often with a passenger and luggage) on unfamiliar European roads, mountain switchbacks, and in city traffic.
We expect that you:
Feel confident handling heavy motorcycles (200 kg+).
Have at least 12 months of active riding experience.
Are proficient in low-speed maneuvering and parking on inclines.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is required for every rental. This amount is blocked (pre-authorized) on your credit card upon pickup.
The card must be issued in the main rider’s name.
Please ensure beforehand that your card has sufficient funds and the daily limit allows for this transaction.
We do not accept cash or debit cards that do not support pre-authorization for deposits.
The deposit amount varies depending on the motorcycle class and is also listed on the model’s booking page.
Questions about requirements? If you are unsure if your experience level matches a specific bike, or have questions about documents, contact us. We will help you select the perfect bike for your skill level.
