At Tripola Motorrad, we want you to enjoy the ride with complete peace of mind. Below are the details of our insurance options and deposit policies. The Hirer agrees to assume financial responsibility up to the amount of their chosen insurance option (Basic or VIP) in case of damage to the motorcycle.
General Liability & Exclusions
Despite our fully comprehensive liability insurance, the Hirer is explicitly reminded that they are fully liable for all damages (unlimited liability) in the following cases:
- If the Hirer does not comply with the provisions of the Rental Agreement (see Terms & Conditions).
- If the Hirer leaves the scene of an accident they were involved in.
- If the damage is caused intentionally, deliberately, or through gross negligence.
- If the Hirer exceeds the agreed rental period without prior notification.
- If the vehicle is operated under the influence of alcohol, drugs, narcotics, or other psychoactive substances.
- If the vehicle is driven in unauthorized areas, such as off-road terrain, forest tracks, non-paved roads (unless explicitly allowed for specific models), or on race tracks.
1. Basic Insurance (Included)
The Basic Insurance is included in the standard daily rental price. It provides full coverage vehicle insurance with the following conditions:
Coverage Details:
- Damage Deductible (Excess): 3,000€
In case of damage, accident, or fire, the rider is responsible for paying up to 3,000€ of the repair costs. Costs exceeding this amount are covered by the insurance. - Theft Deductible: 5,000€
In the event of a stolen motorcycle, the Hirer assumes responsibility for paying a 5,000€ deductible. - Third-Party Liability:
Covers third-party vehicles, drivers, and passengers up to 50,000,000€ per accident. - Personal Accident Cover:
- Medical assistance for the driver: Limited to 900€ (within 365 days of the accident).
- Compensation in event of death: 6,000€.
- Compensation in event of permanent disability: Maximum 6,000€ (depending on severity).
Note: Only the authorized driver listed on the contract is covered.
2. VIP Insurance (Optional Upgrade)
Cost: 25€ per rental day
Travel with extra confidence. The VIP option significantly reduces your financial risk in case of accidental damage.
Coverage Details:
- Damage Deductible (Excess): Reduced to 500€
In case of damage, accident, or fire, the rider’s liability is capped at just 500€. The rest is covered by Tripola Motorrad. - Theft Deductible: 5,000€
Note: Even with VIP insurance, in case of vehicle theft, the deductible remains 5,000€. - Third-Party Liability:
Covers third-party vehicles, drivers, and passengers up to 50,000,000€ per accident. - Personal Accident Cover:
- Medical assistance for the driver: Limited to 900€.
- Compensation in event of death: 6,000€.
- Compensation in event of permanent disability: Maximum 6,000€.
Security Deposit
Regardless of the insurance option chosen, a security deposit is required upon pick-up.
- The credit card information provided will be used as a guarantee.
- The deposit amount is blocked (pre-authorized) on your card and released upon the safe return of the motorcycle.
- Important: The deposit covers not just accident damages, but also potential parking fines, missing fuel, or lost keys/accessories.
